CAGEROL® Needle Bearings
Manufactured from quality steel, CAGEROL® machined race needle bearings feature contoured rollers when beneficial. This helps to reduce end stresses, and allows for greater misalignment. Within these bearings, the rollers are separated by a steel retainer or cage to provide a lubricant reservoir and to allow for greater speed applications. CAGEROL® bearings are constructed with a radial lubrication hole and a groove on the outer raceway, also offering an optional inner raceway (MI-series) for relubrication through the housing or shaft.
Other options include a variety of seal configurations to either help prevent contaminant entry or contain the lubricant. These bearings are available in a wide variety of sizes and options for use across many applications.
Machined Outer Race
- Race manufactured from bearing-quality steel that’s been hardened to carry heavy dynamic and static loads
- Needle rollers feature end relief in most sizes
- Precision needle rollers offer high radial load capacity in small radial envelope dimension
- End relief features help reduce raceway stress in the case of misalignment
Steel Cage
These bearings feature welded construction that helps minimize roller radial play for ease of assembly and provides roller guidance while reducing friction. Retainer provides spacing which contributes to high speed application capabilities and a lubricant reservoir within the bearing envelope.
Superior Sealing
The rubber lip seal is available in various different configurations, and is capable of performing in temperatures up to 250 degrees F.
Annular Lubrication Groove
When lubricating the bearing through the housing, the groove provides a circumferential path to direct the lubricant. Factory bearings can also be filled with customer-selected lubricants upon request.
Machined Inner Ring
When used with an unhardened shaft, the precision ground inner ring provides a hardened raceway for the rollers. The bearing features an annular groove for relubrication and the ring contains an oil hole to allow for distribution of lubricant. This inner ring can be used as a bushing in plain bearing applications, and works with CAGEROL® and GUIDEROL® bearings.
Factory-Lubricated Bearings
Sealed CAGEROL® bearings are factory-lubricated with a medium temp NLGI 1 grease, while unsealed bearings are packaged with a light oil covering to prevent rusting. Applications requiring special lubricants can be provided for as well.
