TRAKROL® Bearings
McGill® TRAKROL® bearings boast precision ball bearings or tapered roller bearings to provide for long operating life even under combination thrust and radial loads. These superior bearings feature multiple sealing elements which help to protect against dirty or contaminated environments, or in applications where reduced maintenance is a requirement.
Sizes 1 ½” to 2 ¾” O.D. (or point diameters on VCF Series) feature the ball bearing construction, while sizes 3” to 8” O.D. feature tapered roller bearing construction.
Precision Ball Bearings
TRAKROL® precision ball bearings feature a construction beginning with a heavy walled outer housing that helps resist wear and fracture. Next comes the precision ball bearing inserts which are designed to withstand combination radial and thrust loads, while also featuring large grease reservoirs for long life without the need for re-lubrication.
These bearings also feature special sealing including a metal expansion plug that provides extra sealing at roller face, a rubber lip that seals on ball bearing inserts to protect against contaminants while aiding in grease retention, and extra nylon labyrinth sealing for even more protection.
Tapered Roller Bearings
TRAKROL® tapered roller bearings also feature a heavy walled outer housing to help resist wear and tear and potential fracture. The tapered roller bearing inserts are suitable for combination radial and thrust loads, and the large grease reservoir helps promote long life without the need for re-lubrication.
They also feature special sealing via a metal expansion plug that provides extra sealing at the roller face, and a rubber lip seal that aids in grease retention while also protecting tapered roller bearing inserts from environmental contaminants.
When it comes to tough environments and certain applications, TRAKROL® bearings can offer improved performance over needle roller type CAMROL® cam followers. In applications where thrust loads and special roller configurations come into play, consider TRAKROL®. Find them through ProSource.
